The Obsession With Fast Cars
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010If you did a poll to people and asked what their dream car would be I can almost guarantee that it would be something very fast, very shiny and that would attract attention from the opposite sex. Where does this idea actually originate from?
Games
The computer games like Forza and GT are getting more realistic as they progress, the new GT is looking brilliant and I cannot wait to pick this up. I have to say that I am an Xbox guy so nothing will replace my Forza 3. Many people will sit down and play a game and really want that car that they are currently racing with. People do not only get to say just how good the car would look in reality (thanks to advancements in graphics) they also get a feel of the way the car would react on the road.
Childhood
Thinking back, I certainly remember the days where I used to play with those model cars as a kid, I remember always wanting an ultra cool Ferrari. You then almost set yourself a life goal in that one day you will own a car very similar to this. This, for many older people who have never experienced the joys of the Xbox 360 and PS3, is where all of these ideas come from.
Celebrities
If you are a keen celebrity follower you will know how important having something like their car would be pretty cool, this influences people a lot when it comes to car buying. A lot of people would be very happy that they own the same car as someone famous.
Of course realistically this is not going to happen and people are struggling to get a car on something like bad credit car finance or bad credit car loans. Other options like gap insurance and car leasing are out there to help people who want that fast car.
