Do you think religion = spirituality for dummies?
Seriously. In most families that go to church, children are indoctrinated by their pastors and family and friends to just believe whatever the parents believed. There is very little thinking for yourself. Hardly any parents or pastor ever says “Question life yourself and choose your own beliefs.” Instead they scare you with Hellfire and Brimstone, etc.
You can get anyone to believe anything if you raise them from birth according to it. It is not much different from Hitler’s Youth or countries in Africa where 10 year-old boys are kidnapped and given guns and forced to fight for one side of a civil war or another.
Isn’t REAL spirituality where you discover truth FOR YOURSELF?!!
