Dealing with an Inferiority complex?

I have a very strong one that controls my life. I understand why this has arrived in my life (current and past upbringing from parents. I am 16) but I cannot possibly afford psychoanalysis.and I do not want medication because I know how the psychiatry business works. I also am not posting this because I want a bunch of people I don’t know on here trying to cheer me up. It is much more deep rooted than that.
I do have a friend who cares about me and would do anything to help but she doesn’t know how and neither do I, and to make it worse she has the sale feelings of her self, though I am not sure how intensely. What I need is a psychology book, spirituality book…something to help us help me and her show us what to do or how to understand and deal with it. Any constructive help is greatly appreciated.

Here are some very good books which will help you. Instead of purchasing, obtain free from the library. You will learn the tools to improve your life in a rational manner. Psychoanalysis is a long procedure based on Sigmund Freud. You wouldn’t want that at all. What you want is the behaviorist approach. That is you learn to change your perception and behavior.
