Life After Death

I received a question from Sadie on March 5th. Sadie tells me she is a student of theology and a practicing Pentecostal Protestant. Her concern is around death. She is having negative thoughts about death and can’t sleep well at night. Her question is

WHAT DO YO THINK WILL HAPPEN TO THE HUMAN SPIRIT WHEN WE DIE IN THE HUMAN FLESH???
WHERE ARE WE GOING AND ARE WE GOING TO SEE GOD???

Here is how I answered our Beloved Sadie.

Dear Sadie,
I suppose that not one of us in the physical form can prove what happens at death.

I’d say just about every philosopher and all theologies have their own idea about what happens at death and not one has proof.

From my own personal inner work, contemplations, meditation and studies but I must say mostly from my own inner knowing and the communication of my heart I have formed my belief about life and death, but it is more than a belief it is an inner knowing and experience.

After my fathers death. I lost my balance for about 9 months. I knew intellectually there was no death and that when we go through the change called death that we are just releasing the physical form that we have been inhabiting and using as an expression. But for me to know that intellectually just wasn’t enough.

Then one night at bed time I laid down and was in the space between asleep and awake and my father came to me, he looked beautiful, young and radiant. Along with him were my grandparents, and two of my uncles. They conveyed to me that they were fine and they were watching and supporting the work I was doing in the world. They loved and approved of me. It felt like encouragement. It was then within every fiber of my being I knew that death would no longer keep me from being with and communicating with whomever I wanted to. I knew that everyone and everything is only a thought away and that life evolves, transforms and changes but who I am is eternal and everlasting.
I knew there was not death.

No longer was this a concept but it is a knowing and experience I have of myself and all life.

On May 12 of this year I was holding my mothers hand while I watched her make the transition we call death and take her last breath in her physical body. Right before and during those moments I literally felt the room fill with love and I felt the presence of the celestial kingdom come and I felt an opening to receive her. That is the best way I can describe it. It was the most beautiful experience I have ever had and I felt honored and privileged to be part of her transition in the change we call death and see her off on her next journey. My human personality felt sad but there was another part of me that felt tremendous joy and gratitude. I knew then that we are never alone but that we are all one and that nothing gained is ever lost.

So Dear Beloved Sadie, I pray this will give you an opening to let go of the concern, fear and doubt around death. For you, when that time comes I am sure will be no less and you will experience a release a peace and a freedom that we in our limited human forms have no concept about. You will not be alone but will be fulfilled with kindred love and acceptance. And Sadie, there is no death and you truly will never die. Who you really are is eternal and everlasting and I look forward to the day that we look back at this moment maybe even together and smile with the peace of Christ.
